I got my net back so once I take me a nap, maybe snag me some food, and wake myself up I'm gonna post in Hub!

PS: Oh anyone know if Karm's doing any better? 'cause with the gun-battle outside the Deli wrapping it coming out to see if the bleeding recently-shot cute girl is okay seems like something Casey might be interested in doing.

I am considering taking temporary control of the inactive player characters, just so I can personal set them up to be more active. Once they'd met the other player characters I'd relinquish control back to their original players, but I thought it might be helpful to have the GM sort of intro some of the characters so players don't have to second guess what they can commit to lore/introduce as canon themselves.

It would also let the characters belonging to some of our less active Players see some action.

I have mixed feelings about this. Yes, it would let players have something to post about, but once you stop controlling them, we may be waiting in limbo because some members haven't logged on in months, and have yet to see them.

Yeah, that's one of my major concerns myself. It was sort of my hope that if their characters were actively involved in the RP it would give some of our less active members a reason to get online and be active again. But without some way to contact them it's sort of just kinda... blah.

I don't know; I want Hub to be successful but at the moment it's just really You, Robin & Mame.

Also I want to get the player characters together as organically and quickly as possible; in part so that I can stop havin' to make four different posts as every time I post. It's not too bad, but it doesn't leave me with much creative juices left to move the plot forward.

Right, I'm concerned about how some characters just seem to be really far apart, but at least everyone is syncing in time, now. I do have contact with both Red and Karmy now, but I believe Red has some problems about his computer or internet or something, and Karmy either just isn't motivated or busy.

Hmm, well internet problems are a different story. It's impossible to say when or if that'll get fixed, and until it does one can't really expect him to get on to read the forum, but as far as motivation goes, that's sort of what I hoped me taking over the characters temporarily would provide. I'd get the boring less interesting nitty of the RP out of the way, and then the players could take back over for the gritty bit.

Something like I take over Casey for the Rhode rescue, and then Karma can take him back once he's with Occult & Co. Gives her something to do more than just make sandwiches for mobsters.

I won't mind that at all. I'll tell Karmy the situation, she hasn't logged on for a month now and hasn't posted for over a month and a half. Maybe this will give her some motivation.

Not much has really happened.

Rhode met Dr. Occult and he taught her to sense magic; then sent her out to pay his water bill. She went out all angry and picked a fight with the first person she saw; which happened to be Tony Dechinko, who promptly brawled with her for a bit until she tried to hit below the belt in which case he just brought out his shotgun and shot her in the face. I was tempted to kill Rhode for the whole 'go ahead shoot me!' thing, but decided against it.

I recently took over Casey so that he could haul Rhode back to Occult's for medical attention.

Darcy & her dad are having breakfast at a nice little Asian market.
Victoria and her brother met Brother Wound out wandering the streets of Paradise Lane, her brother went home so she could go on a 'date' with him. He's using the alias 'Will' and taking her to a pizza place. They've just arrived.

Misj and Es are hanging out in Stern's end on the North Side of Digger's field park with the Church group; they're attempting to clean up the park. Sebastian and his mother have killed a couple of teenagers and are burring their bodies on the South Side, using the recent garden work as a cover.




I had recently raised the idea of me taking temporary control of the less active Player Characters so that I could finagle them into contact with the other PCs. Since you're back you're free to agree or disagree to that as you see fit.

I think I've come to the realization that without more Player Characters the current roster of Players doesn't have a prayer against boss-level characters like Mandragora, Sebastian, or Flay.

So, my solution to this?

A: I'm using my next post to prep for a time jump to the evening so that characters like Andromedia and Arthur can be brought in. In addition this is going to be a big post so I can feel less bad about taking a little vacation from posting.

I'll admit, I was upset with some of our players for just kinda dropping out.

But! that is why I'm

B: Re-opening enrollment! I get that some players may not have brought their A-game with their characters, just making characters so they could play rather than making characters that they wanted to play. I'm hoping this second time around we can limit that, alternatively if there's any new forum members out there being shy, I invite you to read through the RP so far and see if you might be interested in joining up! We're really a quiet friendly bunch I assure you.

Same rules apply as before; they're still posted on the first page of this thread.




I hope to have a post done by this evening.
