Re: The Renassiance of the Dragon Roleplay

[On second thought i'm putting this up again.]

It was a while till the men left the building towards their 'new' homes they conquered, only a few stayed with Garthell. Dreggesson was one of them, but he didn't work for Garthell. The sorcerer rose his eyebrow as he rested his hands on his lap, "Yes?" He hissed at the man, noticing how he just watched him quietly.

Adela grew tired waiting, the friggen men were getting drunk and flirting with the women. She rolled her eyes as she set her ankle on her knee, Morons. She thought as she leaned forward, stretching her neck out till she bit the handle of the knife. And luckily, she did. She slowly set her leg down as she brought herself back, she spat her knife on her leg not caring anymore. The soldiers were too busy with those women anyway, she set her hands behind her and tilted her lap so the knife could fall next to her. And it did. She turned her upper body away from the knife for her hands to reach for it. Swiftly, she flipped the knife cutting the bonds. Garthell had some bad taste, having this men help him. She watched the men quietly, lifting her knife she tossed at one of the women in her way.

"Hello? I'm still here you know." She said smirking as she got up from her seat, signaling her dog to go behind her. The soldiers hopped out of their chairs and got out their swords. Geeze.

"Sugar. Sit down before you get hurt."

"Funny." She scoffed brushing her hand over her face, "You should be scared...Delano?" She said as she side stepped from the dog. His eyes glowed a butter-y yellow, Oh hell. One bark and fire sprung out to the men, setting the wooden counters on fire while Adela and Delano made their escape. She heard shrieks from the men and laughed quietly as she walked into different road.

As Adela continued her run down the stone road, a man with a cane blocked her path. He cocked his head as she slowly approached him. "Where doth thou plan on fleeing to on this beauteous night of screams and wonder?" he asked her, then quickly shifting attention from the dog then back to the girl.

(It's Morning..but okay.)

She held one of her bo-shurikens in her firm grip, "That's none of your business," Adela snapped threatening. Her golden yes kept on the man, you could never be so sure. What just happened a few hours ago proofed that to her. "Beauteous? Never thought of it like that." Delano went by her leg, standing there at the moment. He stared at Jason trying to tap into his mind, what was he thinking? Was he one of Garthell's men? Or just a survivor soon to be tortured? Who was this man? Adela thought the same, she kept her distance back and waited for his response. "Why are you out here?"

(Psst, it's Drengsson.)

Drengsson stood a ways from Garthell, arms crossed and face expressionless. When he heard Garthell speak, he lumbered over in front of the man, towering over him. He spoke in a heavily accented voice, "In your victory, Henry Vale offers alliance. He will give use of his men, wealth, operatives and political power." As if an afterthought, he added, "And me. In return for your good will." He finished, arms resting at his side.

"What say you?"

"Lawrence, will it be very much longer?" Showers rumbled as they walked through a grassy forest, taking a break from flight.

"I am afraid so Showers." Lawrence said with a sigh, "Though once you are sufficiently rested, we may take to the skies again. It could not be much longer afterwards."

"Then I am rested now." Showers said with some confidence.

"Nonsense, we've barely stopped flying; I can still see your breathing heavy. I can hardly see why you are so excited; my father barely gave us an objective." Lawrence protested. Showers sighed and instead of a reply sniffed the air, darted away for a second, and flew back with a small deer he began eating as they traveled. Lawrence gave a slight smile, used to the sight and smell over the years, and walked on through the forest.

The mind the young lady tried to read was not his own, if in fact people were after Adela, they wouldn't have much time to dilly dally about in the streets. Nevertheless, Jason decided to entertain the idea and see what future events could possibly take place is the gaurds she recently escaped would once again apprehend her.

"If thou chooseth not to answer mine inquiry, why then shall I answer thine in return?" Jason gave her a curious look, she looked like she had a lot of questions she didn't yet unearth due to the time they didn't really have. "Though thou art rude, I shall formally introduce mineself to prove to be the gentleman and the mature." He said bowing down, before the tattered princess could speak, "Mine name be Jason Blood."

Adela cocked her head, "It's not the first time i've heard that." The thief stated impatiently raising her eyebrow- interested about Jason. She never heard of him, but he probably heard of her. Just look around the town and you'll see some torn wanted signs for Adela. For a woman, she wasn't quite mannered. She just kept her hands on her hip, "My name is Adela. This is Delano." She pointed at the dog with the chains still around his neck. She didn't manage enough time to break the collar.
"Now. Jason? Can you step out of my path? I need to get away from here."

She heard the clinking of armor coming around the corner and a couple of men talking quickly.

"Hm.." Garthell murmured to himself, it was a great offer, but too great. He tapped his chin softly, but nonsense. More weapons, men, and wealth? How could he refuse? Even if the man was afraid of him and wanted to be an ally for that matter, it'd be no problem. However, if something fishy does occur. He'll have to face some...demons. The man smiled to himself, thinking. "

I say we might have an alliance. Now, tell me about this Henry Vega? What's idea to this?" He questioned.

"Vale is a lord. I do not know much about him. I was told any questions should be answered by someone else." Vega said. That will be all, Drengsson. came a slightly exasperated voice in Drengsson's head. Drengsson gave an extremely small nod, he knew who spoke.

At the Vale estate, Lilith had seperated herself from Henry and locked herself in a specially made, dragon sized room. The room was filled with more finery than any other room in the mansion, with a large assortment of cushions that Lilith was resting on currently. Though despite her conditions, she was deep in concentration, as she was trying to keep up with Drengsson's position. She reached around the area around Drengsson until she found Garthell. Latching onto him as quickly as she could, she managed to say with some shakiness, Hello, Garthell. I am a direct attendant to Henry Vale; my name is Lilith. Any questions you may have, speak to me. You need only think.

"Nay fair maiden, I cannot allow one who is in such trouble with the authorities to escape mine grasps." Jason apologized, "Unless thou can explain in such a hasten manner and thus convince me of thy innocences may I let a wanted felon pass unnoticed. If thou art guilty, raise thy sword against me in a duel." Jason spoke quickly to Adela, his face unchanged, and by the look of it, he was ready to take her back to her captives. Footsteps drew dangerously close. Time was running out.

Adela grunted as she drew her left arm behind her, reaching for her sword. "The authorities?" She scoffed, "They destroyed this town- that's what they've done." She pointed with her chin towards a bloody dead man leaning against a tree. "And you think i'm the bad one here? Look around you. The only reason why i've been taken was because I tried taking back what's mine." She jabbed her thumb against her chest as she narrowed her eyes.

"But if you wish to duel. Be my guest." She added with a threatening look, he was making her angry. Even though he was polite, still. He wanted to take her back to those b*tches and she wasn't going to allow it.

What's this? Garthell thought looked above him for a moment noting her voice, Lilith? Hm. Interesting. What part of the land are you and Henry located? He asked without bothering anything else with the dragon. He didn't know who the heck she was or looked- just a female voice in his head. He glanced at Drengsson for a moment.

"The rules of conquest and overthrow is not complex." Jason Blood stated drawing a sword, "He who is the strongest claims the land. In this case thou and thy kin were a weak people." He tossed the sword to Adela for her to catch it. "In this case, thou art weak and there is little hope that thy entire civilization may survive if thou wisheth to save it all by thyself. In which case thou art under Garthell's rule, and must obey his every whim." Jason held his cane upright and popped open the top of it revealing a second sword. The city guards finally caught up with the two standing in fighting positions in the middle of the streets. "O brothers, let down thy arms, as a duel is in order, unless thou wisheth to challenge me as well."

Adela caught the sword raising an eyebrow, she didn't need it obviously. She held weapons all over her- literally. Nonetheless, she kept it as she drew another sword of her own. She growled looking at him, "I am no weakling." she snapped waiting for his move, she nudged Delano to back away and he did. He would not interfere unless it was going bad. Slowly he inched himself towards the guards.

The guards shook their heads, "Just defeat her." One of them said hastily eying Adela, paying no attention to the dog.

"The mere fact thine's empire was overthrown proveth otherwise." Jason retorted, he had given Adela enough of a fair warning. The fact that she drew another sword also showed him just how rude the young lady could be; so immediately, what seemed like a blur, Jason had smacked Adela with the flat of his blade across her face, leaving a bright red mark running up her face. In what happened in less than a second, the mysterious gentleman had disarmed the sword that she had drawn. He brought her in a close lock and whispered in her ear, "I suggest thou to go with the authorities. Thou art already caught, and if thou wishest to explain in prison I will allow it. Even if thou doth defeat me, thou also have the guards to reckon with. Be smart fair warrior."

Vale and myself reside in a private estate, and I hesitate to reveal more until I hear an answer to our offer, if you will pardon our caution. Now, Gathell, if you please I would like to answer questions directly situated to our current discussion, as this method of communication is very taxing on my person. Lilith thought, masking out her irritation. It would be nice if this could be handled quickly, whether the answer is favorable or not. If you would dislike discussing it now, I could give you time to think by traveling to you, so we may discuss this in person?

Drengsson stared back at Garthell, with only the slightest twitch of his mustache.

"I'm full of surprises, Jason." Adela smirked not minding the blow at her head, she had worst. She drew her eyes at him, feeling uncomfortable how close he was to her. Adela's bangs fell behind her ear, showing her other eye for once. It had a large scar starting from below her eyebrow-down to the bottom of her eye. "And Let go of me." She locked her arms in and using all the strength she had she threw her arms out throwing force onto the man. As she managed to throw his close distance, she shot her knee up that was covered by metal.

(I dunno why Quick, but i cant stop picturing his mustache twitching >Razz)

You know Lillth, as much as I would like to know a lot right now. I prefer we see each other in person though. Face to face you know. He closed his eyes for a mere second, his hands resting on his lap still. He seemed peaceful at the moment, but in his mind it was quite the opposite. And about your offer, tell me why I should accept you? He thought as open one of his eyes and looked all around him. Why should I even trust you in the first place? He continued.

(...Huh. XD)

Very well, I shall summon an escort. Lilith thought as she called out to a guard for an escort to be assembled, As for your immediate question, the Vale house is very influential; apart from our militia and wealth, we have connections and operatives in the courts, the royal army and even a number of less legal areas. Essentially, we could provide you with anything you might need. And to address the topic of trust, the Vale house has a tradition of aligning itself with its rulers; we have kept faithfully to the king and made steps to assure his power, but in his absence, the lords unrest with each other and your most recent victories, it is obvious that you should be the newest ruler. We are simply staying to our tradition.

The guard returned with news that the escort was ready. Nodding the guard, Lilith finished before letting her concentration fade with a sigh, If you will excuse me, Garthell, I must start on my way to you; we will arrive shortly to continue this discussion. Lilith left her massive, plush room to the courtyard, where four heavily armored dragons were awaiting her. Henry Vale walked to her side, resting a hand on her.

"I am sorry, my dear, that I may not come with you. I hope you shall represent us well?" he said. Of course. Now please, return to your quarters; you do not look well. Lilith thought. Henry simply nodded and walked away with the guards.

Shall we? she thought, as the five of them took off. It wouldn't be long; they were built for speed and stamina.

(gah! xD..I know you're imagining it now too, quick :d)

See you later then. Garthell thought as he was considering on accepting the offer. He ran through all the information Lillth had told him, They're known for being loyal to a ruler, and of course. I am a good one. He thought to himself in a smug matter. He crossed his leg, pursing his lips as he glanced at Drengsson in thought.

"How long have you been working for Henry?" He asked curious, he snapped his fingers at the girl with a platter returned. A golden cup filled with red wine, she carefully picked it off and handed it to Garthell.

(Maybe I should jsut re-write it for you, Merc.)

Adela narrowed her eyes at Jason when he leaned close to her and told her she had little chance. It built her anger up, the woman brought her arms together in front of her chest and shoved Jason off of her.

"I'm filled with many surprises, you just don't know." She smirked after, bringing her leg up and swinging it at Jason with speed. Her body twisted along with the kick, though with little effort she landed roughly. She took a step before anything else, her eye went over to the sword (the one he disarmed) that lied across the duo. She took in stance holding one of the swords she had against her side, ready to swing at Jason.

Delano was keeping his eye on Adela, the hound was worried, but he would not interfere Adela's fight. It wasn't long till he lunged at one of the guards throwing him against the ground in a rough matter. He snarled showing his abnormally sharp teeth, they looked as if they were daggers instead of teeth. His muzzle was shifting, as if the nose was sinking into his snout and his head was deformed. His fur looked different, hardening into scales?

The kick meant nothing to Jason, Adela entirely meant nothing to him. He was focused on the woman's pet. How it viciously attacked one of the observing guards. Jason shot his foot into Adela's stomach before she could begin to swing her blade and ran over to the gaurd and in the same manner kicked the transforming dog off the gaurd in his ribs. "Control thy beast, witch! He attacketh a defensless authority for no demand!" Jason shouted at Adela, holding his sword at the animal.

"Change, change O'form of man."

Adela hissed as she felt to the ground, her sword slipped from her grip. The brunette's eyes drew over at Delano and Jason. "Get away from him, you bastard!" Adela hollered as she withdrew a shurkien from her belt and tossed it over at Jason, she had a knack for knife tossing. Only if she knew Jason was a demon, but she didn't sadly.

Delano fell to the side, he began transforming more rabidly now. His body grew it's length, and now his skin was glossy scales. Next thing you knew a dragon stood over the group, golden eyes gleaming down at Jason with his sword. "Drop it down." Delano telepathed to Jason, "And return to your duel or i'm going to kill both of those guards." He threatened.

Thou threats against defenseless guards mean nothing to me. I personally shall slay thee for thy insubordination and rebelliousness. Jason Telepathicly replied. The small blade dug into Jason's back, yet he continued his chant.

"Boil the blood in heart of fire.
Gone, gone the form of man,
Rise the demon Etrigan!"

A bright flash of light surrounded Jason, only making him a black silhouette, slowly shifting into a demonic figure. When all the lights and sparks faded, there stood a yellow skinned demon with short horns, bulk in figure, a blue cape and a red tunic. The guards faces turned to terror as the demon roared ferociously, swinging his huge arms behind him. The shurkien lay flat on the floor.

"What the..." Adela murmured shielding her eyes from the light, they were a bit delicate. She then saw the terrozing Demon standing where Jason was, "Delano!" Adela shouted, "Run away!" She didn't care now, she only cared for the dragon. He was the most important thing to her, other than her weapons.

Delano stood hist ground, sitll towering over Etrigan. He wasn't afraid; he sensed that Jason was demon from before. The way he didn't even flinch from Adela's kick, it was a bit fishy.

Try me, ol' demon. He telepathed before, taking a step back and snarled at Etrigan. His forked tongue slithered about, realasing small puffs of fire. Early warm up before the real thing. The dragon's eyes narrowed at him, well aware of what he's capable of.

Such disobedience being displayed by thee. Ignore thy master in whom she has great possession over? Then she mustn't mean much to thou. Etrigan telepathed back to Delano. Try thee, I shall. Etrigan stated looking at the girl who seemed to now be half his size. Adela didn't have a chance, Etrigan ran up to her and embraced his meaty arms around her, nearly crushing her rib cage. Etrigan the Demon had kidnapped Delano's master.

(Yee! Being kidnapped by a demon! Whoooo!)

Wait! Delano rushed forward to get Etrigan, but it was too late. He had her in hostage and was taking her away; the dragon panicked. Throwing his feet on the ground angrily, he picked up her sword latching it onto the strap over his body. He then began to go after the two. He roared uncontrollably, Jaquline! He screetched furiously.

Adela was loosing her breath, the way Etrigan held her against him was painful. Her arms crushed in to her side, "L-Let me go!" She spat; kicking and trying to wiggle herself out, but it was no use. He wwas just too strong for. She shook her head back and forth, she was really trying, but all she did was waste her energy. Finally, she stopped trying as stubborn as she was, she just knew it wasn't going to happen.

"Put me down, you monster!" She shouted helplessly, her voice was very low due to his tight hold. This is not happening..Dammit.

Explosions? Army men in the woods? Demons and dragons? That, kids, is usually a sign that last night's party might have been a bit TOO much fun. Jacob canderous was awoken by the explosion of light that was Jason Blood transforming into Etrigan. He had been sleeping on one of three boughs, high enough off the ground that you wouldn't notice unless you were looking up there in the first place. Not sleeping on the ground was a good way to avoid pickpockets- and right now, get a front row seat to the.... unique spectacle unfolding below.

But that's getting ahead of ourself. The individual sleeping in the tree was one Jake McChristopher, Former Heir to the McChristopher family fortune and currently (and reluctantly) errand boy of the sea- dragon Akamia. Needless to say, he was no stranger to Dragons. Or even Deomns for that matter.

But what he was witnessing below was something new. He didn't catch much of the conversation across from the dragon calling a name, presumably the girl that Etrigan seemed to be nearly crushing. Now not hearing the full story led to the filling in of some of the blanks. Usually, the story of the Demon and the attractive young woman in his clutches didn't end well. Usually for the maiden in question. Now, Jake could've easily gone down there and tried to free the afforementioned young lady. Emphasis on tried. If even the dragon wasn't going to make a move on tall, dark and demon-ey, he doubted his own chances severely. So what to do?

Not get involved and see what happens. That tended to involve a lot less of his bones getting broken.
