Licking Fingers?

OK. I always thought licking your fingers was gross and a disgusting bad habit. But just about every person I've ever met licks their fingers. Even after I tell them how many germs are in their mouth now. So, what do you guys think? Licking fingers bad or good?

(Stupid question, I know, but it always bugged me. >.< )

So what, you don't wash your hands before you eat? That should be good enough to cover you. I mean, your hands are already touching the food in cases where one would lick their fingers, so any germs on your hands are getting to your mouth either way.

The human body has the ability to fight off an awful lot of stuff*, let it do it's job and build up immunity to things! Lick them fingers!



*unless you have AIDS or something. In which case I'm sorry.

I have to confess, I find myself licking my fingers even when I haven't eaten anything for hours. I think I might just like the taste of my own flesh. Or maybe it's just human flesh, I haven't really had the opportunity to taste anyone else's fingers.

Interesting fun fact, that waterless hand sanitizer does leave residue on your fingers, and it tastes really really bad.

This is one of the weirdest threads i've seen in a while....

Well, granted human hands go places that they probably shouldn't. A while back I saw something with some odd statistics about various things including the various things people don't wash their hands after, and your odds of shaking hands with them.

But I personally have never found any detriment to licking my fingers, and in fact I don't think I've been sick this year.
